Since 2009, Ligonier Camp and Conference Center has participated in the annual Day of Giving, an event held by the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County. This provides non-profit organizations with an equal, pro-rated portion of the $80,000 matching funds for all donations made on the Day of Giving. Through this platform, donors are able to watch their giving increase without having to pay a cent more.
We are very excited and humbled to announce that this year marked the highest amount of donations for Ligonier Camp on the Day of Giving. We had 94 donors contributing on the day of the event, with gifts totaling $44,180. The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County will match the donations with $6,185, giving Ligonier Camp a total of $50,365! For the second year in a row, LCCC was the number one recipient of funds in Westmoreland County.
As we begin 2012’s End of Year Campaign, we would like to thank everyone who gave generously during the Community Foundation of Westmoreland County’s Day of Giving. We are so grateful for the generosity of everyone who supports LCCC and look forward to continuing to serve campers, clients, and the community.
